The Daily Crigg
Inspired by the less-than-ordinary performance of the England cricket team in the one-day international series in summer 2001, I have decided to dedicate a regular slot to them, in a newspaper style. I will review their games (starting with the last ODI against Austrailia at the Oval) and highlight areas where they need to improve.

Obviously I dont expect anything to be done about England's weaknesses (much in that fine British tradition of being mediocre at sport), and in a perverse way I hope nothing is done, as it would take much of the fun out of writing this column. But anything I can do to help British sport will be an extra - and let's face it, us normal people (I mean normal in the loosest possible sense when referring to myself) know far more about sport than the people managing the teams anyway.

Any other ridiculous flops by a British team worthy of attention might be reviewed here as well...
Stewart, you're allowed to use two gloves you know....
