| You Know You're A Horse Lover When... |
| ~ You say "Whoa!" to the dog. ~ When you walk into a motorcycle shop, you think all the jackets are a waste of good leather. ~ You call the dog and your horse's name just pops out. ~ You have a gun rack in your truck to carry whips and crops. ~ You go to McDonald's and order a Coke and they tell you your total is 99 cents. You scream at the cashier "Are you kidding? I have 2 kids and 10 horses to feed! I'm never coming here again! That's ridiculous!" and walk out of the restaurant. ~ Your friend comes over to watch the Olympics and wants to watch swimming, and you say,"No! David O'Conner just took the oxer and is on his way to the triple combination!" and your friend looks at you like you are crazy. ~ Non of your friends bother to ask you to the mall on the weekends because you know you'll say, "I can't. I have to ride." ~ As soon as your friend walks into your room, they know you like horses because of all the horsey books, horsey posters, horsey stuffed animals, horse calenders, your helmet, a saddle, etc. ~ You're a horse and dog lover when you're willing to throw frozen manure balls for the barn's golden retriever in the winter! ~ You cluck to your bike when you go uphill. ~ You're excited when your friend says there's a sale at the bridle shop, but then you realize they're talking about the one where they sell wedding dresses. ~ You have the vet's number on speed dial, but don't know where the phonebook is if you ever have to call your doctor. ~ If someone tracks mud into your kitchen, you don't care, but if someone should track mud across your tack room, you say, "They can run, but they can't hide." ~ You can sit and stare at a horse picture for hours on end. ~ On Saturday, the day you ride, you are up before your alarm rings but on a school day, you hit the snooze alarm five million times. ~ You fail english, but can rectie the "horse dictionary", full of horse terms. ~ You use a quick release knot to tie everything. ~ You are known as horse girl/boy in class. ~ You think a saddle is more comfortable than an armchair. ~ If someone hands you string/rope etc., you hold it like you would hold the reins (it's way more comfortable!) |
