SCORE REVIEWS
Well, it's the weekend so if you haven't had a chance to see
'The Village', it's a good opportunity too. I saw it again this
week. Still a good movie.
And Score Reviews has posted a review of James Newton
Howard's score for 'The Village'. They gave it a 4/5. Click
here
to read. Cinescape has also posted a small review as
well here
which stated "But the beauty of the score lies
within
its spirit, which despite the outside oppression speaks of an
inner courage that unfolds nicely as the score develops."

VILLAGE OUT NOW
Well, my mind has just been blown away. I just saw
Shyamalan's new film and honest to God, this may be my
favorite of his so far. Loved every second of it. One of the
few movies I have seen this year that I immediately wanted
to see again right then and there. But I can totally see why
someone would be upset with the ending. It really comes down
to what you feel about the ending...
And the contest for 'The Village' posters is now over so look
for the winners after the box office numbers are released later
next week.

'BURIED SECRET' THOUGHTS
So, what did everyone think of "The
Buried Secret of M.
Night Shyamalan"? I personally didn't much care for it but
when Johnny Depp showed up, that was pretty awesome.
Feel free to be one the many people discussing the show and
Shyamalan's upcoming project "The Village" in the message
boards.
UPDATED: Also, for anyone going to Interactive
Interview
with Shyamalan (click here),
and if you get some questions in
or just want to share your experience, send me an e-mail
and
I'll post the comments and/or check out the message boards
and post them there. I will not be attending because the closest
one is in St. Louis and I won't be having my road trip to there til
Friday...tear, tear. Would have been fun though...

MISTAKE AND 'BURIED' REVIEWS
I posted yesterdays news as July 17, instead of the 16 so it
appeared as if Shyamalans special on Sci-Fi was on tonight
when in fact its on tomorrow night. Sorry...
Aint It Cool has posted some stuff on the special and how
it was a stunt to get viewers interested. Seems to have worked
though it's is kind of a cheap way of doing it but click here
to
read some stuff about it.
And look for Shyamalan and/or some of the cast members to
be appearing on some magazine titles in the coming weeks.
I'd bet someone will be appearing on Entertainment Weekly
the week of or the week before the film is set to come out.

WANT TO INTERVIEW SHYAMALAN?
If you live in New York and want a chance to interview
M. Night Shyamalan, then click here
for some info on how to enter.
And "The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan"
will air in two
night from 8-11pm (7-10pm central) on the Sci-Fi channel.
As for tonight, don't miss "I Love the 90's: 1999"
on VH1
( 9/8c) because you know they will talk about "The Sixth
Sense" and it also happens to be one of the funniest shows on
TV. Finally , we'll be giving away some stuff in the coming days
so stay tuned for that...

EW 'BURIED SECRET COMMENT'
Below is a comment in the Television section of the
new Entertainment Weekly I scanned about Shyamalans
new "documentary" on Sci-Fi and then under that is a
link for an ad for the "doc". Not sure what I think about
the comment but the ad looks pretty cool.
'Buried
Secret' ad.

'THE BURIED SECRET' AD
In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, the one
with Marlon Brando featured on the cover, there is
an ad for 'The Burried Secret of M. Night
Shyamalan'. The tagline for it is "If you think his
films are cloaked in secrecy, wait until you see his
past". Hmmm, I'll try and get a scan of it sometime
in the next few days.

AND THE WAY YOU LOOK TONIGHT...
Remember, folks. The Sixth Sense will be on ABC
tonight at 8/7c and during the broadcast, the new
trailer for The Village will be airing.
I think Shyamalan is hosting as well. Also, 7.5
minutes of The Village will be shown during the
premiere of Unbreakable on May 3.
And the official Village
site has added a few new
things. It also says to come back on the 26, which
is today, for the new trailer.

is interviewed. She will be appearing in The Village
this year and in three of the questions in the interview
ask about Shyamalan and The Village. One of them
deals with the ending....I'll try and get it typed out
