EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE • Started my career as a commited extension scientist in KVK scheme of Indian Council of Agricultural Research,New Delhi.Worked as field functionary in that system for five years during which I gained precious experience of grassroot level working,group formation,development of village plans and youth work. I also gained deep insight of participatory methodologies of extension including structuring of experiencial training sessions.It was a prime time of my life and I developed cohesive network with NABARD,BAIF,line departments and NGOs as well as village groups to make the efforts effective. • I deeply enjoy my versatile roles of media expert, extension scientist,teacher,writer,editor,orator, film producer and information manager.I feel,all my roles are complementing as well as supplementing each other in rhythm. • I have compiled and edited 15 books,booklets and manuals.Journalism is my area of specialisation.Dealing with thousands of scattered pages and photographs to develop an excellent document fascinates me.I have a passion to develop completely fresh design for new document.I never rely on being stereotype. • Brought out 67 popular issues of Indian Farmers’Digest, the prestigious monthly journal of Pantnagar University .I tried to make each issue thematic and precious.After all the field exercises and table work,I used to finally design the journal by my own hands,keeping my supporting staff sitting aside.I am excellent at Pagemaker. • I have 35 publications to my credit, most of which are concept papers,based on my experiences and exposure. • Produced 12 scientific video films which have been applauded by the panel of media experts.Have also produced a series of Video magazines and capsules for telecast.I can work efficiently on camera and editing suits as well. • Produced 145 Radio Programmes based on agriculture which have been broadcast through All India Radio. • I relish each minute of my classes as a teacher.Teaching has very different meaning for me.I like to have team teaching for which I make a team with Dr Birendra Kumar,Senior Professor of Communication.We plan each second and prepare an in-depth teaching strategy for each class.We also document every moment of the class and keep vigil over everything happening in the class.Then comes the introspection after each class.Its a research,a game,a workshop and a well-planned strategic procedure.Really,so enthusing.
