The shanty-town dwellers
were surrounded by glass, from medical
art encrusted in the young student
who exercises the glassy memory.

The students from Recife
did not see themselves as privileged
when treating mannekins of flesh and bone
capable of schistoma and fever.

They studied living mannekins
better than those made from plastic
used in more wealthy cities
where the beggar is more exotic.

One man from the shanty-town
was promoted to guinea-pig.
He noticed that the old hospital
had necrotic tissue.

It had necrotic walls
that the virus of time slowly
infiltrated, down to its bricks
as far as their holding mortar

In view of this situation
it would be better to restore it
to inject immunised glass
against time, as in a museum.
