Sorry to delay my response. It seems that the NEWEST RUBIN (Pic I / Pic II) was taking most of my time ; )
Finally my wife, Erica, after her horrific experience with SEVERE preeclampsia (you can look that up yourselves, I just can't bare to go through it again) and near death, is safely home with our little boy, Max Bennett Rubin. He had to stay in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for a month to get strong enough to come home. Now he is happy and healthy and we can't get enough of him.
See, life isn't always fun and games and sometimes tragedy (or near tragedy in this case) can stare you in the face from nowhere. The important thing to realize is what really matters in your life: family, friends, and accomplishment - what else is there? That said, I really do appreciate your work and interest in me, my work, and my many many quirks. My students mean a great deal to me - more than I let on perhaps.
