The Payne's Page

Welcome to "The Payne's Page!" My name is Dr. Robert Payne. I have created this page to introduce myself, my family, my church, and my faith.

Two events occurred in my early years that greatly affected my adult life AND my eternity. One of these life-changing events took place on March 21, 1976, when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. The second event transpired in my teenage years when I felt the call of God on my life to enter full time Christian service for Him.

After graduating from high school I attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. I completed my college education at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. Following my college years, I also earned a Th.M. and a Th.D. (summa cum laude) degree from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Georgia.

Since then I have ministered in different capacities as a minister of music, Christian school teacher, assistant pastor, and senior pastor. I am presently the pastor of the Berean Baptist Church of Belleville, Michigan.

One of the greatest milestones of my life was the day, when as a student at Faith Baptist Bible College, I met Becky Myers. She became my wife in August of 1986. Becky and I had a precious little girl named Heather in December of 1991. It is interesting to note that Becky also enjoys illustrating the gospel with her talents of juggling and storytelling.

Our family also includes a black Labrador Retriever named "Byce," and a chocolate Labrador named "Reebok" (as you can see from the picture above).
