These are two fine pictures of the Kluchnik's Hereford Durham oxen Big Spark and Lion.  These Oxen were raised and trained in Nova Scotia Canada and are fitted with a head Yoke which is prevalant in this area of the world.  These cattle are a result of mating a hereford with a Durham two very old breeds of cattle which found immense favor in Nova scotia Centuries ago.  These Oxen exhibit a color pattern called Brochle Face where as the patches or spots on there face are called Brochles and are backed with white.
These oxen were purchased by Bud and his wife 9 years ago and due to the oxen ailing health condition were laid to rest recently.  Bud had used this team as his main team until this time.  Before there purchase these cattle were used in pulling competitions across Canada.  Bud had retained a pair of your red cattle Little Sparky, a red Devon Holstein cross, and Sam, a Durham from Tillers International for his main team.
