the upper level power structure of an organized crime family, consisting of a boss, an underboss, and a consigliere

Associate:
an "almost there" someone who has not been sworn into the family, but works with and/or for the wiseguys

books, the:
euphamism for membership within the family, since nothing is written down

Boss:
the head of a crime family; he is the only one that gives permission to 'whack' someone, and makes money from all family operations.

Capo:
a ranking member of the family who heads a crew of soldiers

clip:
to murder; also viewed as to "burn", to "whack", to "ice", to "pop"

consigliere:
a couselor in a crime family

crew:
a group of soldiers who take orders from a capo

fence:
someone with worldwide outlets to liquidate stolen goods (see swag)

going south:
stealing, money under the table

made:
to be sworn into the family

meat eater:
a corrupt cop

pinched:
to be arrested

problem:
someone with liability to be clipped

swag:
stolen goods

Bag Man: person who transports money, person who supplies drugs, a pusher

BC bud: marijuana from British Columbia, Canada

Big Man: drug supplier

brewery: places where drugs are made

buck: to shoot someone in the head

cartels: organized drug smuggling rings

cluckers: middle men who facilitate between buyers and sellers

connect: to purchase drugs

dynamite: cocaine mixed with heroin

lettuce: money

lord: powerful drug traffickers; heads of drug cartels

paper boy: heroin peddler

pikachu: pills containing pcp and ecstacy

rollers: police

server: crack deal

travel agent: lsd supplier
