Making Du'aa for Others...How Does This Benefit You?

All of us are so busy with our own lives that you might think that why should I pray for someone elseI have enough to ask allah for my self in my duaasI dont have time for anybody elses needswell think again.read the hadiths below and reconsider... everytime someone asks you to make duas for them ..make it your practice to pray for them sincerely..because when a muslim prays for someone else that dua is swiftly accepted.

Whoever prays for others pleases the Almighty greatly. A Hadith of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir ('Alaihis-Salam) says: Nothing is more swiftly answered than a Dua recited for others. According to the Holy Prophet(Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalehi wa Sallam), the Dua of a believer for other believers is returned to him as many times as the number of believing men and women from the beginning of creation to the Day of Judgement.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Aalehi wa Sallam) is reported to have said: "The dua of a Muslim for his brother in his absence (i.e. the person is not present and is not aware that you are making dua for him) is answered. An angel is appointed to be at his side. Every time that he prays for some good for his brother, the angel says: "Aameen. And may the same be granted to you." (Muslim)

Abu Dharr reported that Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalehi wa Sallam) said: There is no believing servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence) that the Angels do not say: The same be for you too.
