Biography and Resume
Christoph Kresse is a sound designer, aspiring audio engineer (recording and live sound), stage technician, and professional musician located in Greenville, SC and currently enrolled in Clemson University's production studies program with emphasis on audio engineering and stage technology. Even though that he will not be graduating before 2010 he is welcoming any opportunity to assist with local bands, artists, productions and events. Hes is also looking forward to undergo a internship as audio engineer or stage technician  in the summer of 2009.
In addition to his production endeavors he is a professional musician with over 22 years of international experience.
Christoph is a professional bagpipe player, drummer and percussionist. He also has some keyboard/piano skills and loves to manipulate recorded samples and noises to create rhythms, music and sound spectrums.

Christoph, a german native from Hamburg, has relocated to Greenville in 2001 together with his wife Stephanie who also is a successful artist. Ever since he has established himself as professional, award-winning bagpiper, musician and composer through out the south eastern US.
Christoph discovered his passion for music early in his life as his parents owned a extensive collection of Classical, Rock, Pop, Folk and World music records. In 1987 Christoph joined his first bagpipe band in Hamburg and studied  under local, Canadian and British instructors. The following next 18 years he has traveled and performed through out Germany, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, France, England, Scotland, USA and Canada. Christoph has been a playing member or guest performer with several civil and military pipe bands in Germany, the UK and US (The Black Watch, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and Queen's Royal Hussars just to name a few). Most recently Christoph was a member of the World Champion City of Washington Pipe Band, Washington DC.

Parallel to his bagpipe music achievements Christoph also got introduced to the art of Scottish rudimental drumming. His older brother, an established musician himself, laid the groundwork for his interest in drumming and percussion. Over the years he performed as Scottish and later with a short spell at the University of North Carolina, pembroke as American style drum corps percussionist. During his stay at UNCP he was also a member of the school's percussion ensemble and played several classic and world percussion concerts.  Christoph is also a talented drum kit player and has played on and off in in different generes ranging from Celtic-fusion, folk-rock, alternative, underground, experimental and punk rock music. Since 2006 he has been involved with Ma'at International Dance
Arts where he plays a variety of African and Middle Eastern percussion instruments.
Christoph is the founder and Owner of Altona Records, his own recording and music publishing company. Under this label he will publish and release his own compositions and music.
He currently  has two major projects he is involved with, UK Not OK, a Industrial/Electronica/Alternative band (bagpipe driven/experimental) and Artist in Resident, a experimental Percussion project.
Inspired by music innovators and producers like Mark Saul, Muuray Blair, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Chris Vrenna (Tweaker), Ross Robinson, Steve Albini, Butch Vig and Moby Christoph became interested in music technology and audio engineering. Driven to learn the art of recording and mixing
with the goal to professionally record and create new, interesting music and sound horizons he applied at Clemson University's prestiges audio engineering program.
Accepeted in the fall of 2007, Christoph has been working in a professional studio enviornment and at the school's own road house. He has been trained on a Pro Tools system  and also owns his own recording gear that he uses for sound desgin and home recording projects. Christoph is looking forward to graduate and would like to experience all aspects of the audio world, including live sound, recording and broadcast engineering. He is also employed as stage technician with Clemson University's Brooks Auditorium Crew and Tiger Paw Productions at Little John Coliseum.
