European School for Education in Ultrasound (Swiss), offers ultrasound courses for trainee doctors. It aims at providing practical training on patients. It has enough variety of patients with abdominal, gynae / obs and small parts pathologies.

COURSES

The following courses are offered at Hameed Gul Memorial Ultrasound Training Institute & Clinic:

1. 4 weeks basic gynae / obs training course.

2. 4 weeks basic abdominal training course.

3. 2 months basic General abdominal & gynae/obs training course.

4. Post Graduate Diplomas

5. Clinical Attachment.

COURSES DETAIL

· 4 weeks Basic Gynae/Obs training course is designed specially for doctors wishing to do the Gynae/Obs ultrasound only. It covers both the basic and advanced aspects of Gynae/Obs ultrasound. In this course complete theoretical session is offered with cases observation. It also includes hands on scanning on a number of patients with different pathologies.

· 4 weeks basic abdominal ultrasound training course is designed for beginners and covers the basic as well as some of the advanced aspects of abdominal Ultrasound. In this course complete theoretical session is offered with cases observation. It also includes hands on scanning on patients with variety of pathologies. Its purpose is to create interest in those doctors opting ultrasonography as their carrier.

· 2 Months Basic training course is designed to cover all the aspects of abdominal and Gynae/ Obs Ultrasound. It includes Multimedia lectures, Videos, group discussions and practical training on patients along with cases observation.

· Various Diplomas and Home study courses are available from 6 months to one year duration. The certification for these courses can be from European School for Education in ultrasound (Swiss) or The Burwin Institute of Ultrasound (Canada)

· Clinical attachment is available on monthly basis throughout the year for those doctors who possess the theoretical knowledge but wish to have scanning practice and see pathologies.

TIMINGS

Each course is offered on the basis of Three hours daily training excluding Saturday and Sunday.

REGISTRATION

One must register and Submit the admission form Along with prescribed fee at least on week prior to the commencement of course. Each four weeks course starts on the 1^st of every alternate month.

CERTIFICATES

Certificate of attendance will be provided to the participants. The Certification can be done by Jefferson Ultrasound Research & Education Institute USA or European School for Education in Ultrasound (Swiss) at an additional fee of Rs. 4000/- for 4 weeks and Rs. 8000/- for 2 Months course. The candidates opting for certification from USA or Switzerland will have to take a post course assessment examination. The Certificate will be issued to those candidates only who pass the examination by getting more than 70% marks
