Recently
I Have
involved on Sabah/Borneo Forest Mapping at forest and forest
product research institute (FFPRI)-Tsukuba Japan since the summer 1999, as assistant of Dr. Kanehiro Kitayama for remote sensing and GIS
task. Recently He is professor at Kyoto University. Dr. Motohiro
Hasegawa from FFPRI-Tsukuba Japan leads this project.
Several other reseacrh will be conduted during this fiscal year with those people above are as follows: 1. Develop a fire prediction model including land use/cover type, fuel load (biomas detection), climate and drying power of atmospher, and fuel load dynamic in Sabah/Borneo . 2. Detection of logged-over forest and estimating their biomas. 3. Assessment and Correlating of NDVI changes with their liter fall dynamics . 4. Develop an up-dated Borneo-wide vegetation map using recent Landsat data . 5. Assessment of Land cover change and regrowth in Sabah/Bornoe
Of course this is including A Monitoring of
forest condition and forest fire Hazard in East Kalimantan/Sabah/Borneo, for my Ph.D
research. (my research plant click here)
