| A Cry For Love
Alone
at last, but am I alone, What is alone?
I
spend a day in a school.
The
children talk and think they are cool.
Even
with the children around, I am still alone.
Even
with the teachers who teach
and
with the Preachers who preach,
I
am still Alone.
Alone!
Alone without love.
My
mortal soul cries to the most high God.
I
love her yet she loves me not.
Oh
help her to love, I need her love.
As
the wind blows it's gentle breeze,
I
hear an angel speak words of ease.
I
respect her as if she were a queen.
I
buy her gifts a poor man brings.
I
love her! Does she not know that?
Yet
she laughs and with a graceful smile she says,
"I
know not of your love, yet still you come.
For
me to love you the doom must come."
So
I leave her and my heart is damaged.
I
look around to find nothing....
And
my soul within dies.
