Know About Me

I am Dr. Lohith.T.G, medical undergraduate from Bangalore, Master's graduate from IIT Kharagpur, presently doing Doctoral (PhD) degree in the field of Molecular Imaging at Biomedical Imaging and Research Center (BIRC), University of Fukui, Fukui, Japan.
I like to be a techno-savvy doctor. I finished my MBBS degree in 1999 from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, a premier Medical College in Bangalore. Since I had staunch interest in medical research, I joined a new course on June 2001 called Master's in Medical Science and Technology (MMST) at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

I belong to a new breed of Doctors who are trained in both physical and clinical sciences so as to do research in the emerging Medical Technologies such as Medical Imaging, Telemedicine, Bioinformatics, Recombinant DNA Technology, Bioinstrumentation etc.. I did my final year Master's thesis project on Molecular Imaging at BIRC for a period of 10 months. I finished Master's course from IIT in June 2004. Now, I am pursuing Doctoral course at BIRC for specialising in research on a novel field called Molecular Imaging.
