Dancing Mt Fuji - 99 and a few photos from the greater Tokyo (Kanagawa Prefecture)and Kamakura area

Sunset facing east with the Glory Effect in the shadow of Fujiyama behind us, halfway up the mountain much work yet to do - credits for this photo go to myself, as I actully took this one at an arm's reach.

Hiking stick adorned - I did not take this photo, rather I think that it was taken by my brother Paul

Onodera with a Quarter Moon

Tomoko on the left, and Danger on the right, all I remember is quickly falling asleep!

Setting up camp for breakfast

We made it to the Torii gateway, one step at a time, pacing, listening

A thin line of red in the sky, 4am and the temple guardian statue is hard at work

more camped out time

Further camping adventures - photographer unknown

Our whole group after a walk on the rim of the volcano (temporarily inactive)!

My current workplace from outer space
the credit for this photo goes to my brother Paul, as you can clearly see, the photo flash was off. There is another photo of this with the flash on, but the off one came out much better.

now , a few off-Fuji photos

In Kamakura, a stone's throw from the train station outside of town, near a place where many people clean their bowls with pickles, I had a chance to 'make' Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. What a meal! Go-chisosama deshita!

A photo of many words. Is that your bike?

At the Kabukiza, a wonderful production of a story of a Fox who hears the sound of a drum made of his parents, himself, and he can't help but follow it. There is no stronger current than this.

A little closer look at that mischevous fox

Christine and Yukiko along with Paul and myself after the show, dinner, Awamori, in front of the theatre

Thank you to everyone I met and shared time with in Japan
