CAUSES

Bad Oral habits like Chewing of tobacco, Gutka  and Smoking  are among the main reasons for oral

Cancer. A early white patch in the mouth or on the tongue which does not heal for more than two weeks

are early signs of oral cancer Cancer.

LEUKOPLAKIA -  It is raised white patch associated with constant chewing of tobacco or GUTKA

                  

SUBMUCOUS FIBROSIS   It is the inability of open mouth or burning sensation which

                                              affects 10  out of 10,000 Indians

CAN ORAL CANCER BE CURED?

If detected early Oral cancer is curable. The smaller the patch , the better chances of a complete cure.

Treatment involves surgical removal of the patch followed by radiation

Avoid bad oral habits like tobacco chewing,Gutka,smoking

Eat diet rich in fibre,fresh fruits and vegetables.
