Keogh/Kehoe (Mac Eochaidh) is another Wicklow surname which shares a common ancestry with the Byrnes and O'Tooles. The MacKeoghs were hereditary bards to the O'Byrnes and moved with them to the Wickow area. In Griffith's ‘Valuation’ there were twice as many with the spelling Keogh as with Kehoe, but there was no marked contrast in their geographical spread. Locally, both spellings have the same pronunciation and the prefix is never used. Please let me know of your link and I'll add it for others to view.
