The Tide

My raft flows out from beneath,
The covers churn as gnashing teeth.
Restless nights create danger
And night's rest holds wagers.

I can find no place to lower
The sail that has been blown over.
Virtual servants and waiters
Deliver.

Soft. Mind. Heart. Fake.

She drifts in and out
Like the tide down the bay.
How effortless is doubt
Able to distort the way?

For time stands still,
When dreams can thrill.
