Past Tense and Past continuous
Outcomes
     Learners will
     * be able to recognise the difference between past tense and past continuous        tense.
     * be able to recognise the situations in which the use of past continuous
       would be beneficial.

Objectives
To increase active usage of the past continuous through a variety of
     exercises and activities.

Learners level
     Upper level 2 and above
I've planned 10 activities for this unit, of course you may not want to use all of them or you may want to add other activities.  I need to hear feedback from you!
1.  What were you doing?!!!!

You need to act as if your ankle is paining, in front of your students and say
"I sprained my ankle".  Get the students to guess what you were doing when
you sprained your ankle.   What you want to get from the students are
sentences like,  "you were dancing.", "you were running."

You can show flachcards if you are too shy to act....show a picture of
     someone dancing.

Another example:  Have a picture card of someone playing table tennis.
     But don't show the picture!!
"What was he doing when a ball hit his head?"
