Bobby E. Jr.: Joel Katz...welcome to the Miller Lite Hot Seat Joel: Glad to be here, glad we could finally make it happen. Bobby E. Jr.: I have to start with the obvious. Why Kevin at 3? Joel: Really, it wasnt a tough decision at all. one of the most important factors I look at is team chemistry, and with kevin I think that will be natural. our styles of play will match well together and if it doesnt work out, who cares, we'll just watch curb and drink beers like we do every tuesday. Bobby E. Jr.: everyone that knows you knows you're a baseball first guy. What does being in a basketball league like the DWL mean to you? ? Joel: Being in a basketball league like the dwl means a lot to me--i'm still in the DWL playing, I've retired from baseball. What does that tell you? Bobby E. Jr.: Whether or not you know much about the new wave of talent that will make their DWL debuts this year, how do you feel about this new wave in general? Is it too many new faces or is it a good building block for the future of the DWL? Joel: This new wave is going to be interesting...I just hope they have what it takes. They think they can just step into the dwl and ball, but it's deeper than that. There is a history of the league that they must respect, and people have made sacrifices to make the league what it is today. They need to know that playing in the dwl is a privilege, and if I see them taking it for granted Iwill take it out on them on the court. As long as they respect the league its a good building block for the future of the DWL.. Bobby E. Jr.: Alright now we're going to move on into more of the quick response portion. I'll start off buy asking you a question, you'll respond with which 1 DWL player you'd most like to have. Joel: okay... Bobby E. Jr.: One DWL player to....pass a test for you? Joel: Craig Schattner Bobby E. Jr.: Chug a beer for you? Joel: Downtown Bobby E. Jr.: Impersonate you? Joel: My teammate Bobby E. Jr.: Hit a baseball for you? Joel: Nobody will be hitting a baseball for me--i dont need a pinch hitter Bobby E. Jr.: Pick out your wardrobe? Joel: Probably brownie, however he claims that i am his fashion role model. Bobby E. Jr.: Sing a song for you? Joel: Probably ryan fitz...that way he wouldnt be completely worthless Bobby E. Jr.: Get a girl for you? Joel: Nova Bobby E. Jr.: Deliver a joke for you? Joel: Again...nova...not only do we match well on the court, we match well off it too Bobby E. Jr.: Alright we're done with that portion. Still wanting quick responses answer the following: Your March Madness pick. Joel: Until illinois loses...the fighting illini Bobby E. Jr.: Super Bowl pick, 2006? Joel: ravens...with randy moss Bobby E. Jr.: NBA Champions? Joel: WIZ baby...gilbert is the man Bobby E. Jr.: World Series champions ? Joel: too early to tell...damn i hope its not the yankees Bobby E. Jr.: forget leagues, MVP of baseball ? Joel: mientkiewicz...this is his year Bobby E. Jr.: Salar Samii - harder to defend or harder to pronounce? Joel: pronouce...what's with the two i's? Bobby E. Jr.: Beer pong or Beruit? Joel: come on man...no brainer. Beruit, or 'Ruit for short Bobby E. Jr.: Bush or Kerry? Joel: Edwards...or better yet, Mays Gilliam (Head of State) Bobby E. Jr.: Curb your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld? Joel: That's a tough one, however, i've gotta go w/curb. i think it shows larry david's true genious. plus i own 3 seasons of curb, and not Seinfeld. Joel: Damn, I love Curb... Bobby E. Jr.: DWL player who's life would most likely be made into a HBO sitcom? Joel: gotta say brownie, but youd have to give me and parr supporting roles Bobby E. Jr.: Alright we're going to end the hot seat with a couple fact or fictions. So...fact or fiction: Adam Browne was the correct #1 pick. Joel: Fiction. Bobby E. Jr.: Brownies team will win more games than Lanhams team. Joel: Fact. Bobby E. Jr.: The DWL will be back Summer 2006. Joel: Absolute fact. Bobby E. Jr.: The DWL will be back Summer 2010. Joel: I kinda hope thats a fiction Bobby E. Jr.: You'd rather watch bread mold than hang out with Ryan Fitzmeyer and Abi. Joel: fiction--i'd rather eat bread mold than hang out with them Bobby E. Jr.: Joel Katz you are off the Miller Lite Hot Seat Joel: whew...that got pretty hot
