Craig Schattner

Biography:

Craig may in fact be the strongest player in the entire league. He is a player learning to play with his height and his strength, and is quickly learning how to be a dominate force in the lane.

He is a good rebounder and good defender when aggressive. He has a good outside game for a bigger guy, and his specialty may be his Matza-Hook which along with his rebounding skills lead to a record number of double-double performances in 2003.

Although he's been known in the past to lose confidence quickly and display cowardly play, Craig has been getting better day in and day out over in Ann Arbor.

The 2003 season was a make or break season for Craig and he definitely stepped up to the challenge. Schattner was rewarded for his effort by winning the 2003 Most Improved Player award and then lead the league with 9.8 rpg in '04.
