| Jesse Driver Tennessee |
| Jesse Driver was born 1806, in Tennessee. Many of the Driver families were born in or around the Macon county areas. Some were near the Kentucky line. The hills of Macon county were part of Tobacco growing era. Many barns were used to hang and dry tobacco products, and farming was also a part of their daily lives. My grandfather, William Jefferson Driver was born unto the parents of Jesse Driver and Naomia Driver. His mother Naomia, was the daughter of Malcom Smith of Smith county, Tennessee. The marriage of Jesse Driver and Naomia Smith brought 10 children according to the 1850 census. Of the 10 children born, four were "Quadruplets" named Cordelia, Gabriel, Peter, and Rebecca born in 1847. |
