Well... perhaps there's a new form of Driven RC about. No doubt it's temporary but during 1 of 2 trips made to Miami during the summer of '06, Dr. PHUD performed with and recorded about 23 cover songs for a horror-punk outfit. This was part of a film project by some University of Miami film students but PHUD was referred to these students from a studio in Boston.
PHUD for the first time, wasn't performing just drums (he played Drums on all the tracks) but also sang lead vocals and played some bass and guitar as well. Though the tracks will never see the light of day, except in the film (which the band performed in including Dr. PHUD), the band apparently got signed to a small label in Missouri. PHUD isn't currently involved with the band, however, when he finally moves to Florida he is considering joining them full-time. But, when asked what their name was, PHUD jokingly suggested Driven v 2.0, they nixed the 2.0 and are going by Driven at the moment. Who knows what may happen but if you hear of a horror-punk outfit calling themselves Driven, it may be them.
PHUD, while not currently with the group, is busy trying to finish his own record which features 2 Driven RC songs and 8 covers including Saturday Night, Skulls and Hybrid Moments (Misfits), Runaway (Del Shannon), Run Runaway (Slade), So Lonely and Fallout (The Police), and Little Girls (Oingo Boingo). It's taking a while to finish, as he has to play every instrument himself (well almost, he has had some help with guitar tracks). But maybe it'll be available someday.
I have no idea what the other guys are up to anymore and not that anyone reads this anymore, but hey, what else is there to do? Besides, it may come in useful for the new incarnation of Driven (or whatever name they go by).
