Formed in late 2000, Driven was the second Ramencore band to emerge from Burrillville. Taking the cue from Driven RC, Driven experimented inside the realm of Ramencore rock to finalize a sound that is reminiscent of Driven RC yet a little harder and edgier.
Tom Watson, who was a childhood friend of Brian Dutremble (lead vocals of Driven RC), assembled Driven with the hopes of gaining some victory in the Woonsocket area. Tom was always a Burrillvillian at heart but at the end of 8th grade he moved to Woonsocket. He maintained his ties with Dutremble and in late 1999, Brian told Tom that he was assembling a band with Joel Lagace and Brian Cardin. Tom then took matters into his own hands and built Driven shortly thereafter.
Tom frequented Driven RC practices and picked up bits of musical knowledge little by little. He procured a mastery of the guitar and learned some of the "percussive arts" to play rainstick and shakers.
Driven's first performance was in March of 2002 with Brian Dutremble serving as vocals, Joel Lagace serving on guitar, Dan Quiray playing bass, Will Magaw playing auxiliary percussion and Tom Watson playing auxiliary percussion. This band won third place in the Woonsocket High School battle of the bands.
Watson continued to fumble with the lineup of Driven for most of the summer and finally settled on a five piece band which features Tom Watson on rhythm guitar and auxiliary percussion, Brain Dutremble on vocals, Brain Cardin on drums, Joel Lagare on lead guitar, and Dan Quiray (from Driven RC) playing bass guitar.
This lineup played its first show on November 22nd 2002. To this day they continue to push the boundaries of Ramencore Rock and experiment in the same vein as  their masters in Driven RC.
