March 21, 2002. It seemed like any other sunny Thursday afternoon, but this day was different. It was an unusual day in fact. I was leaving from school at a quarter of three, not like my usual routine. I was on the back side of the campus driving along pondering on what I would be doing to kill time until the Awards Ceremony began at 6:30 p.m. As I drove along the curvy back roads of campus I noticed a vehicle behind me...no big deal. I pulled up to the stop sign at a "T" intersection where I was going to turn left. I almost started to go but I noticed a car coming from my right with it's signal on to turn onto the road I was coming out of. The next thing I know...WHAM! I didn't know what happened, I thought something went wrong with my car, like the transmission went kablooee or something. I looked in my rearview mirror and realized that I was just rearended. Well, a long story short, I didn't get a police report because, hey, it was my first wreck, I got her information and I gave her my information and I thought that was it... Well our insurances investigated and I was compensated for the damages. It didn't seem like much damage, but $1,800 was what was estimated.
I got the car fixed, it looks as good as new. All painted up and looking sharp. Now the shed it's setting in gets the liberty of looking at it for a few years. I'm parking the Camaro for financial reasons, and will be giving it more TLC later by hopefully giving it a better restoration job. Until then.... |
