| The Drinkolympics World Cup is a tournament contested between 10 countries, for the Drinkolympics Shield (shown above). The competition is held over one night. Qualifying for the World Cup The Drinkolympics World Cup is open to 10 countries at each tournament. The top four Drinkolympians, according to the offical Drinkolympic Ranking, gain automatic entry for their country. The top 4 countries from the last world cup also get automatic entry. The remaining countries must qualify for the event. The Drinkolympic Committee will also award one Sarah Wild Card entry to all Drinkolympics World Cup touraments. World Cup Procedure Each country will be seeded from one to ten.. From these seedings the countries will be placed in two pools. Each country will battle it out in pool play, playing each other country in their pool once. From there the top 4 countries in each pool will progress to the quarter finals. Countries will then play minor and major semi-finals, before entering the final round, where every country will play playoff games for there final placing. World Cup Matches Each world cup match consists of 5 shots, from the official Drinkolympic World Cup glasses for each country. Each glass is to be filled to the brim, with any Drinkolympic recognised alcohol. The match begins at the hands of the official starter, and the winner is the country who puts down their final glass first. In the event of a tie, the match will be replayed. Disqualification Countries can be disqulaifies from individual matches for three reasons. - Countries not ready to compete when scheduled or deliberately holding up World Cup proceedings. - If the alcohol left in the glasses after the match. fills up the offical pink glass. - Any physical or verbal putting off, of opponents during or in the immediate lead up to matches. Sledging outside this period however is encouraged. Distractions such as low cut tops are also permitted. |
