FAIL TO KEEP wanted to drink you, pour you into a glass and feel you flow through my body but you got caught in my throat and began to ascend we seemed so perfect for each other, so perfect i could never say “i love her” so now i sit here, 12:05 on a weekend night you’re in the next room and i, i feel like a kite floating and drifting further and further from you do i want to complicate things? do i want to look in your eyes and pull your lips onto mine? is eating away at my soul, your idea of going out to eat? i don’t think in this lifetime i will ever get over you... i don’t want to lose you but i’m not sure if i want to gain you so now i sit here 12:05 on a weekend night you’re in the next room and i, i feel like a kite caught in the breeze and floating from you you are nothing but a speck in my eye we seemed so perfect for each other so perfect i could never say “i love her” (TOMMY'S EXPLANATION: the subject matter is not too groundbreaking here. but i think it captures the feeling of isolation and sorrow it was written in. the music invokes the various stages of passion when you harbor strong feelings for someone else: the longing, the despair, the anger, the sorrow, and the tranquility in the air when you're the only one left.)
