Thanks to everyone who showed up to the 2008 3rd annual Steeltown Shakedown! We had a hell of a showing and every car just blew us away. This year was our most successful show. It was an overcast day so no glaring heat, the bands all did an amazing job keeping the folks entertained, Professor Emcee Square rocked as our MC, Skratch layed down some awesome stripes for people, and the Creature From the Black Lagoon was a little in 3D but still fun to see. We promise next year we will have that figured out.

Thanks to Izzy and Chris, the Surf Zombies, The Legendary Hucklebucks, Ms. Freddye and the Blues Faze Band, Those Poor Devils, Professor Emcee, Jerry and the Twin Hi-Way Drive In, pinstriper Skratch, the I-Made-It Market, and a special thanks to all those car guys that got off their asses and came to enjoy the show.

This is what went on:

On Friday the 5th 8pm-11pm we started out the weekend with a pre-party at Butya's Bar and Restaurant next to the drive-in. DJ ZOMBO, one of the best "Culture" DJs in the US, was throwin out some amazing Rockabilly music and providing the entertainment. We wanted to put something together in case you decide to come down a day early. Just a good kick off with drinkin, music, and hangin around. If you are from out of town there were HOTELS close by for easy sleepin.

On Saturday the 6th 1pm-on was the Rod Show at the historic Twin Hi-Way Drive In. Here's what you got:

-Rockabilly, Blues, and Surf bands during the day
-PROFESSOR EMCEE SQUARE from The It's Alive Show was MCing the show, and his band played at the end of the night
-The original CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON played after dark on the big screen
-Special guest Pinstripe Artist SKRATCH threw down some stripes on some lucky rodders' stuff
-Flame contest worth some bragging rights and a bad ass trophy
-Pinup contest worth some prizes
-Hand made trophies from our boy Pinky for whoever we thought needed one
-Prize raffle, door prizes for vehicle owners, and a 50/50
-And we had some great vendors for you to drop some dough onto
