| Tell us a bit about yourself I always wanted to do daycare, so when we moved into our new house in 93', my daycare was designed and set up within 6 months! As well as having my 6 month old daughter. |
| Where are you located? I am located in Pickering, Finch and Liverpool. |

| How did you come up with your daycare name? My Daycare is called "Steps & Stages" because of the many steps and many stages children go through. |
| How long have you been providing daycare? I have been providing care since 1993 - first with WeeWatch and private for three years. |
| What was your "inspiration" to get involved in the daycare field? My inspiration has been the love for children. Since I wanted a big family, but only have 2 kids, I can always have kids around me all day long! |
| What is your favorite part of your "new" profession? My favorite part of this profession is that I can give lots of TLC and hugs - you would not be allowed to do this in centres! |
| What was your old profession? I used to have office jobs and was very unhappy. I couldnt wait to get my house and design my own daycare! |
| If you had a $1000 to spend on things for your day care, what would you buy? If I had an extra $1000, I would buy larger equipment for indoor and outdoors for the kids. |
| How did you learn about the daycare association? I saw the associations' flyer in a bakery so I called Dianne. |
| How long have you been a member of the day care association? I have been a member for about 7 years. |
| Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Depending whether I am finished school, I am not sure whether I will still be at home or outside in the field. I would like to have a supervisorial ? position with the region or with a centre. Whichever it may be, I will still be in the childcare field. |

| I love to paint in watercolor, do crafts, and do the occassional "extra" work
for a talent agency. I have been married to Dan for 17 wonderful years and have a 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son. I have been attending Durham college for 3 years parttime working on my ECE. |
