Then proceed to Mecca for performing Twaf Ziarat of Kaba.
Twaf Ziarat may be performed in the normal dress (i.e. without Ihram).
Note that with the removal of Ihra’m, the restrictions related to Ihram are not removed, (and that you can not touch your wife) unless Twaf Ziarat is performed and Sai of As-Safa & Al-Marwa is done.
NOTE also that the Women in the state of menstruation can perform all the Tenets (Manasak) of Hajj, except Twaf Ziarat, which they must perform after they are purified. During the menstruation period, no visit to Masjid Haram (not even any other mosque), no twaf, no Twaf Ziarat, no prayers, no recitation of Al-Quran, no touching of Al-Quran.]
[Note that the animal may be slaughtered up to 12th Zil-Hajj.]
[Note also that Twaf Ziarat & Sai may be performed from 10th Zil-Hajj to 12th Zil-Hajj, before sunset. The time for performing ‘Twaf Ziarat starts after striking the big Devil on 10th Zil-Hajj, slaughtering the animal, shaving the head, and after taking bath.]
viii) TWAF ZIARAT & Sai As-Safa and Al-Marwa: 10th Zil-Hajj:
Perform Twaf of Kaba in the normal dress. Make 7 rounds of Kaba, as mentioned in Umrah. Offer two Rakat at Maqame Ibrahim, reciting Surah ‘Al-Kafirun (No.109) in the first Rakat after reciting Surah Alfitiha, and Surah Al-Ikhlas (No.112) in the second Rakat. Drink Zam Zam water. Perform Sai at As-Safa & Al-Marwa, as stated in Umrah.Twa’f Ziarat is an important Rukn and Fard (Farz) of Hajj.
The Holy Quran states:
“…Then (after slaughtering the animal) eat of it, and feed (also) the poor- the hard pressed. Then let them (i.e. the people) accomplish the tenets (of Hajj) , carry out their vows (or promises) , and circumambulate the ancient House (Kaba).”(22:28,29)
With the completion of Twaf Ziarat and Sai at As-Safa & Al-Marwa, all the restrictions of Ihram are lifted. Return to Mina, as stay in Mecca is not permissible at this stage. ( Note that Twaf Ziarat & Sai may be performed from 10th Zil-Hajj to 12th Zil-Hajj, before sun set.)
ix) Second Day of Rami: 11th Zil-Hajj:
(Striking the 3 Devils): In the afternoon (i.e. after zawal)*, strike the three Devils (Jamara’t) each with 7 pebbles, one after the other (i.e. the small, the middle & the big Devil respectively). Pray after striking the small & the middle Devils. But after striking the Big Devil, do not stay nor pray there.
