2:93 “And (again) when We took a commitment from you, when
We elevated (the mountain) At-Toor above you, commanding
you to hold fast (the Torah) which We granted you, and listen to it
(i.e. obey the Commandments given therein); but they said
(by ridiculing Our Commandments): ‘ We listen, but we disobey’;
and the love of the calf penetrated deep into their hearts due to
their ‘kufr’ (denial). Say (Holy Prophet): ‘ How worst (and
strange) is your belief which commands you about it (i.e. to
worship the calf)? How can you be then true in your statement
(that you believe in the Torah and not in any other Book, when
you have thrown away the Torah and indulged yourselves in
worshipping others. (See also 4:46)
2:94, 95 “ Say (Holy Prophet): ‘ If the home of the Hereafter (the
Paradise) that is with Allah has been exclusively reserved for
You setting aside others, then wish for death, if you are true.’
And they will never wish for it because of the misdeeds that
their hands have sent forward; and Allah is All-Aware of the
non-believers.”
2:96 “And you will find them (i.e. the Jews) the greediest of all
and even more than Mushrikeen to have a long life, each one of
them wishing to live for 1000 years; and even such a long life can
not save them from punishment. And Allah is All-Aware of what
