3:200 BEAUTIFUL CONCLUSION
3:200 “ O’ you who believe!
i) show perseverance,
ii) remain steadfast (against your enemy),
iii) keep yourselves ever ready (for the cause of Islam and
for protecting the Islamic State by facing the threat of the
enemy with all of your might, liaison, co-operation and unity), and
iv) fear Allah – so that you may be successful”. *

The above Verse quite beautifully sums up the above Surah (Chapter) particularly with reference to the sixty Verses (3:120 – 179) on the ‘Battle of Uhud’. This battle provided great lessons to the believers. The Verses relating to this battle issued severe warnings to the Muslims so that they might not dare to disobey the Holy Prophet
, and that they might be vigilant and careful in the battles ahead. The result of such shattering and penetrating Verses was that the believers received success after success in spite of the fact that the enemy tried to attack them with their huge armies in the years to come, particularly in the ‘Battles of Al-Ahzab and Tabuk. And later on, the Companions of the Holy Prophet in the period of their Caliphate trampled the great Persian and Roman Empires of that time.
