10. There are in the world some other scientists, who study the marvelous nature of men, animal, agricultural world and the universe. After carefully analyzing human organs with the help of anatomy and physiology, they are struck with the wonders of God. They do admit the existence of God, but believe that this body once perished, will be perished for ever. Consequently, they deny Paradise, Hell and the Day of resurrection. They believe that there is no reward for good and bad deeds. They think that the world exists from eternity and will never end. They are called naturalists, and are unbelievers.

The scientists mentioned in serial number 8 and serial number 9 above (i.e. the materialists and the naturalists) are all unbelievers, since the true faith depends on three things:

i) Belief in Allah.

ii) Belief in the Messenger of God (conveying the code of conduct / code of life i.e.Al-Quran & Sunnah.

iii) Belief in the day of resurrection, when the people will be physically raised for reward or punishment.

11. It may be noted that the scientific subjects like biology, physiology, anatomy etc. are miraculous sciences dealing with the miraculous human body. It should not be conceived that the function of the human body from its birth to death continues as such under a set natural pattern with no change. Let it be remembered that the miraculous births have occurred like that of Prophets Adam and Jesus.

12. Again, it should not be conceived that the world continues to function from eternity and will continue as such without any change. The moon, for example, was split up into pieces with the miracle of our Holy Prophet, as stated in Bukhari:3437,3438, and indicated in Surah Al- Qamar (54:1-3)

13. The historical event of ‘Asha’b-e-Kahf (i.e. the People of Cave), as stated in the Holy Quran, shatter the idea of the ‘naturalists’ who think that there is no resurrection after death, and that the body once perished is destroyed for ever.

The Holy Quran provides sufficient scientific facts that demonstrate the process of resurrection after death and explode the false hypothesis of the ‘naturalists’. For example:

a) “ And it is He (Allah), Who moves the winds, depicting His Mercy

and giving the pleasing news (about the coming of rain). After they

have been heavily loaded with clouds, We force them towards

a dead land and pour down water on it. We, then bring

‘Samara’t’ (i.e. crops and fruits) of all types. In this way,

We will revive the dead. And the land which is pious (fertile),

grows its vegetation with the permission of its Lord, but the

land which is rotten, it grows nothing but little and poor…”

(7:57,58)

b) “ Have you not observed that Allah sent down water from the

heaven with which He created water channels through the earth

and then produced with it colorful vegetation (which then

withered away with the loss of moisture)? You will then

see them yellowish in color (as a result of the wilting

process). He then caused the (dry) vegetation to

(crumble and) fall into pieces. Indeed, in it is a

lesson for the people of wisdom (scholars and

scientists) to learn (from this process the

phenomena of revival after death)”.

(39:21)

c) “ O’ mankind! If you are doubtful about resurrection (after death),

then, of course, We have created you (i.e. your father Adam)

(initially) from soil, then (the production of human beings started

from the processes taking place in the womb of mother i.e.)

‘Nutfah’ (i.e. the mixed male and female drops), then from

‘Alaqa’, and then from ‘Mudgha’…Then We pull you out as

a baby…And (likewise) you see the earth as (dead and)

unproductive, but when We send down water on it,

it revives, swells up, and brings

out every kind of beautiful pair”.

(22:5)

Consequently, the above Verses (3:190 -195) under discussion state that the believers, after studying the universe deeply with true scientific morality, pray humbly and earnestly to Allah that they have believed sincerely in Him and His Messenger (Muhammad - peace be upon him) and that they may be protected from the Fire of Hell.

Note: In the next Verse, the believers have been warned so as not to be deceived on seeing the splendor of the non-believers (who, rather than becoming grateful to Allah by accepting Islam, live luxuriously and are lost in their scientific and modern development).
