2:21,22- The Oneness of Almight Allah

2:21 "O" mankind ! Worship your Lord, who created you and those
before you so that you may become Muttaqeen (pious Muslims).”
2:22 "He (Allah) alone made the earth as floor for you and the sky as
canopy; and sent down rain from the heaven from which He
produced crops and fruits for your living. You must not then
establish opponents against Allah (Almighty) when you
surely know (that there is no opponent against Him).”

1. After mentioning the three groups of people in 2:1 to 2:20 of Al-Quran (i.e. God Fearing Muslims, Non believers and Hypocrites), Almighty Allah addresses mankind very affectionately advising them to believe in Him (as in 2:21 & 2:22 above) and also believe in the Last Prophet and the Last Book (Al-Quran) (as mentioned in the next Verse 2:23).
2.DEFINITION OF THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE:
From the above Verses 2:21 & 2:22, it is clear that the Lord of the Universe, by definition, is He, Who has created the universe and provided us the means for our living. Therefore He alone is to be worshipped and obeyed. The Holy Quran states further:
a) “ Allah is He, Who made the earth for you as a place of rest and
the sky as canopy…and He alone provided you livelihood from
the pure things. THIS IS ALMIGHTY ALLAH, YOUR
LORD. SO WORSHIP HIM sincerely with total obedience
(to His Commandments)…” (40:64,65)
b) “ … He (Allah) is the Creator of the Heavens And Earth
Without Having Any MODEL Before…” (6:99-101)
