The Holy Prophet said
:
a) [On a question about a deed equivalent to Jihad, the Holy Prophet said:]
“…Can you afford that when a Mujahid moves out (for Jihad), you enter your mosque and stand for prayers without any break, and continue to fast also without any break (even during the night) (till that Mujahid returns to his home?” The questioner replied: ‘ Who (no one) can afford it?’ (Bukhari:2633)
b) “ Whosoever dies without participating in Jihad, nor thought about it, he dies on one of the types of hypocrisy.” (Muslim-Mishkat:3637)
2:194 LAW OF EQUAL RETALIATION FOR SACRED PLACES
2:194 “ The sacred month* stands for the sacred month; and for all sacred things, there is Qisas (the Law of Equal Retaliation) (i.e. if the non-believers fight you in the sacred months/places, you must also retaliate and fight them equally in such months/places). And if any one is unjust to you, then you must also be unjust to them to the same extent; and fear Allah and know that Allah is with the people, who fear Him.”
*[The sacred months are of Muharram, Rajab, Zi-Qad, & Zil-Hajj.]
2:195 SPENDING IN JIHAD & DOING GOOD DEEDS
2:195 “ And spend in the way of Allah (i.e. in Jihad)* and do not insert your hands in destruction (by not spending in Jihad). And perform good deeds in the best way (with sincerity)**. And Allah likes those who are sincere (for performing the good deeds in the best way).”
