The Holy Prophet further said:

a) “ Whosoever believes in Allah & His Messenger (Muhammad - peace be upon him), offer prayers (five times in a day), and fast in the (whole) month of Ramadan, it is upon Allah (Almighty) to admit him to Paradise, no matter he has participated in Jihad or stayed in a place, where he was born.” The Companions submitted: ‘Should we not then give such a happy news to the people?’ The Holy Prophet replied: “ Indeed, there are 100 (top most) grades in Paradise, which Allah has exclusively prepared for those who fight in the Way of Allah. The distance between each grade is equal to the distance between the heaven and earth. Therefore, whenever you ask (pray to) Allah, ask Al-Firdaus, which is the central and the best part part of Paradise. The Throne of Allah is just above it, and from here the Rivers of Paradise originate.” (Bukhari:2637)

b) “ When the month of Ramadan comes, the Gates of heavens/Paradise are opened, the Gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are locked up in chains. (Bukhari:1799,1800)

c) “ Whosoever stands up (in optional prayers) with faith and hope (for reward) on the Night of Al-Qadar [i.e. the Blessed Night of Ramadan when Al-Quran was revealed (97:1,2:185)], his previous sins will be forgiven. And whosoever fasts in Ramadan, his previous sins will be forgiven (also).” (Bukhari:1802)

d) “ Allah (Almighty) says: ‘Every action of the son of Adam is for him only, but fasting is exclusively for Me, and I alone will give its reward.’ And the fast is a shield (of protection) (against the Fire of Hell)...” (Bukhari:1805)

e) “… In the month of Ramadan*, there is a Blessed Night* (the Night of Al-Qadr), which is better than 1000 nights*… Whosoever performed an obligatory deed in Ramadan, it is as if he performed 70 obligatory deeds in other months… ” (Mishkat:1868) *(See 2:185;44:3;97:1-3)

f) “ On the Night of Al-Qadr, recite: ‘Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fafo anni.’” [O’ Allah! You are Most Forgiving; You like forgiveness, so please forgive me.]

(Ahmad, Ibn Majah, Tirmizi-Mishkat:1990)
