2:164 ALMIGHTY ALLAH-THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE

-Scientific & Engineering Facts-

2:164 “ Verily in the

i) creation of the heavens and earth,

ii) alteration of the night and day,

iii) ship that moves in (and on) the sea, benefiting the people,

iv) water that Allah brings down from the heaven with which He gives

life to earth after its death, and spreads all kinds of living beings in it,

v) clouds which are suspended between the heavens and earth-

in all these are the Signs for the people, who understand (particularly

the Scientists).” (See also 3:190;45:3-5)

Scientific Facts: The above scientific & engineering Verse states that it is Almighty Allah alone, who has created the universe. Many ‘Scientific & Engineering’ facts, which were never known to humanity before the coming of the Holy Prophet, were revealed to him, giving a witness to the fact that he was sent with truth. The following statement mentioned in the introduction of the Book on ‘The Bible, the Quran & Science’ by Maurice Bucaille, and printed by Islamic Book Service in 1998, is worth noting in this connection:

“ Quran did not contain a single statement that was assailable

from a modern scientific point of view.”

It has been determined that at least 700 Verses of the Holy Quran relate to science & engineering. (There are a total of 6666 Verses in Al-Quran.) For example, the Holy Quran stated the following scientific facts, which were never known to humanity, before the coming of our Holy Prophet.
