ii) This Ummah follows the middle/best path in moral, social, economic, political, and spiritual/religious fields.

The Holy Prophet said :

“…Follow the middle path (i.e. avoid extremism), you will reach your destination…” (Bukhari: 6098).

A bird’s eye view of the main features of this Ummah has been presented below:

a)In the Moral Field, this Ummah believes in the best/optimum moral values such as piety,charity, generosity, hospitality, honesty, mercy, modesty, chastity, decency, bravery etc. as against extremism exhibited by corruption, intoxication, fornication/adultery, gambling, drinking, dishonesty, indecency, robbery, terrorism etc., and other type of extremism depicted by cowardice, miserliness, laziness, humility, monastic living etc.

b)In the Social field, this Ummah believes in benevolence towards parents, wives, children, relatives, orphans, needy etc. The basic unit of an Islamic society is the peaceful and affectionate family/unit, from where emerges the goodness for the society. The believers are a single community/family. The needy and the poor are provided the necessary social security through zakat and other means for their honorable living. All co-operate with one another in virtue and goodness, and not in evil. The Islamic Government enjoins the right and forbids the evil. All sorts of luxurious and sex instigating acts, shameless audio visual records and undesirable pictures or advertisements, are unlawful, so as to produce brave, pious, gentle, and God fearing people. Nevertheless, it does not mean that the beautiful resources of the land are forbidden to them. In fact, the lawful beauty and the vast resources are primarily for the believers in this world, and particularly for them in the Here After. The respectable amongst them is the highly God fearing person. The blood, honor and wealth of every person are unlawful to others in this society. (4:1,9,36;
