Dr. Finbar Oozes From an Oil Well 


Hello Dear Friends,

We hope you are enjoying autumn, and do not have too many leaves to 
rake up yet.

A PLEA

Triple J Unearthed is coming to town. For those of you who are curious 
(but unfamiliar) with Unearthed, have a look here:

Basically, it's a band competition. You send them one song, and if 
you're (exceedingly) lucky, they'll play it on air, promote you a bit, 
and so on.

Naturally, our chances of winning this competition are f-all, but 
nevertheless, we feel compelled to try. This leads to Problem #1. We 
don't have a recording to send them. Problem #1 would be solved if we 
could solve Problem #2 - we don't have anywhere suitable to record a 
song. Problem #2 could be solved if we could solve Problem #3... How 
to make lots of $$$ fast. And, in fact, a solution to Problem #3 would 
solve a multiplicity of other problems, but we digress...

What we need is access to a reasonably quiet place where we can do some 
recording, preferably in the next week or two. We have the necessary 
recording equipment, we just need the space. So if anyone has access 
to such a place, or knows of such a place that we could obtain access 
to reasonably cheaply, please let us know. We will be uncommonly 
grateful.
