“The CRCT is designed to measure how well students acquire the skills and knowledge described in the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) and the Quality Core Curriculum (QCC). The assessments yield information on academic achievement at the student, class, school, system, and state levels. This information us used to diagnose individual student strengths and weaknesses as related to instruction of the GPS/QCC, and to gauge the quality of education throughout Georgia.”

Helpful Tips for Parents

• Make sure students get plenty of rest the night before the test.
• Make sure students eat a good breakfast on the day of the test.
• Make sure students arrive at school on time on testing days.
• Talk to your child about being a good listener and thinker.
