It also has a fishing pier, picnic and camping, trails, and water activities. The Carolina Beach Lake Park is another fun place to go for a thrill. This park has several water activities. They even put lights near the lake during a holiday. It was once in the Guiness Book of World Records as being the freshwater lake closest to salt water. The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is one of three state aquariums along our coast. It offers a variety of hands-on programs.
