4. Jul. 2005- PBS
Ok, so about three weeks ago I started interning for a PBS station in the state of New York, and although I am having the time of my life working there and getting to meet some of the nicest, coolest people there, this commentary was not influenced by the station at all.  This was my own opinion, and I don't usually back a liberal cause here, so think of this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to see your good buddy Dr. Ew act liberal here kids.  Enjoy.
Alright what the hell was Congress thinking when they decided to possibly cut down on funding for PBS.  PBS gives some of the best, most entertaining, and funniest programming out there.  To think that Congress would cut back on funding for the people who brought Americans such shows as "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood", "Upstairs Downstairs", such personalities as Bob Ross (Search: Happy Trees), Jim Lehrer, and Cookie Monster, and such animated adaptations of books such as "Arthur", "Clifford the Big Red Dog", and "Curious George" (Coming in 2006).  What is their problem?  PBS provides quality entertainment such as "Sit and be Fit", "Sesame Street", and "Reading Rainbow"  Where would we be without programs like "Shining Time Station", "Magic School Bus", and where would we all be without that loveable purple dinosaur known as Barney?  Seriously, Congress should think about what they are about to take away from stoned teenagers because the stoned teenagers will revolt, and when they revolt, you'd better watch out.  They won't eat, they won't sleep, and worst of all, they won't bathe.  Sadly enough this method works.  Remember how they did that, and it almost got John Kerry the Presidency?  Or how about how it almost ended the Iraq war?  How about when they managed to bring back peace  and love to this country?
