| 2. August. 2005- Driving. | ||||||||
| Now I'm pretty sure that most of the people reading this have already started driving, and almost all have their licenses, but there are a few lessons in driving that you do not learn in a class or on the road. That's why I'm here, so sit back, and take notes kids because I'm gonna teach you everything you need to know about driving. First, there is no such thing as road rage. It's a condition that shrinks diagnose to get money out of you in exchange for a prescription for a placebo. Seriously, if someone passes you from the right, or cuts you off, they deserve to get flipped off by you. Hell, if they do something like attempt to pass me from the right, I'll speed up and let them hit me. They weren't supposed to pass me from the right in the first place. There was a driver who attempted to cut me off. They stopped when they realized I had no intentiopn of hitting the breaks. The idiot had one of those "What the hell are you doing?" faces, and I had one of those "You tried to cut me off." faces. I drove past the car smiling at the driver, knowing they knew that they tried to cut me off and failed. I gave the driver the bird (No surprise there) and finished my drive to work. The second rule is that sometimes it's ok to break the law. For example, if you really have to go to the bathroom, it's ok to speed. Do you really think that a cop would pull you over and make you go in public? All you really need to do is explain to the officer that nature is calling and now is not the time to put it on hold. The officer will be very understanding, and will likely excuse you from the ticket.' Third, if a cop pulls you over for running a red light, it can be a very stressful time. There are three solutions to this problem. The first is to once again explain to the cop that you have to use the bathroom really bad. The second takes a little work. First, you slip the DMV a $5 bill and tell them to make your license say that you are color-blind. That way the cop will think that you can't tell yellow from red, and will understand. The third is to simply explain to the cop that the light was yellow when you crossed the intersection. Keep arguing this until the cop gets tired of it. Accidents can be very scary, especially if it is your first one. Take it from me. I have quite a few on my record. Anyway, there are a few things to do in the event of an accident. First, if you get hit, exit your vehicle screaming and clutching a part of your body thar "hurts". If you get rear-ended, pretend you are unconscious, especially if you got rear-ended by a young driver. It will scare the poop out of them. Second, make sure you have updated insurance information, both auto and health. You never know when you may need to go to the ER, and having one insurance card instead of 3 or 4 really helps. Take it from me. The receptionist does not like sifting through a multitude of insurance cards to find the one that has yet to expire. You always want to have pdated insurance cards for the car because if you don't have an updated title and insurance card, you could be suspected of stealing the car, and we wouldn't want that to happen, now would we? Now that you've gotten the essential knowledge of driving, you're ready to go on the road. Remember what I told you and you'll do fine. |
