| 27. Feb. 2005- Turning 21 | ||||||||
| Well kids, I'm 21. That's why there was no commentary. I had a really nice birthday in which I recieved several nice gifts. There's a thing about turning 21 though. It changes you. It is not like the changes you face when you turn 16 or 18. It changes you for the better. I can now legally drink, but I do not drink as much as my past 2 years in college. I did not drink on my 21st. It fell on a Sunday, and I had classes on Monday. I did drink later on during the week, and I drank responsibly. I think that when you turn 21, the fun of it being illegal will be gone, and you will realize that drinking is not much fun anymore. You will realize that it is time to put away the beer pong table, and that Natural Light beer really is carbonates water with alcohol and food coloring. You will realize that there is no need to hide everything when the RA or cop knocks on your door. You will realize that you no longer need that fake ID. You no longer need to ask mom and dad to buy you a bottle of Bacardi. You no longer need that stupid "X" on the back of your hand every time you go to the bar. Turning 21 also makes you take a look back. When you get older, you take a look back at your life and ponder what life was like back then. Remember when everyone was drinking Surge? Are you still concerned about Yellow 5? How about when everyone wore Boss jeans? What about when everyone thought Limp Bizkit was cool? We all look back at those times and laugh because we were so stupid. |
