23. Jan. 2005- Reading
Reading is not something I particlarly do very often unless the subject I am reading about interests me, but recently I have found a book that has tickled my fancy.  I find America by John Stewart to be the funniest book I have read since Everybody Poops.  Other than that, reading is just a waste of time to me, and for the record, I am literate.
Now there's a difference between reading and studying.  You read to pass time, as well as to relax.  You study to take in information.  Granted the two may cross paths, like if you are studying for a class that interests you, but for the most part they keep their distances.
Now I know that there are quite a few people who read for fun, and I am not going to make fun of them because they are having fun doing what they are doing, but those who read because they are in book clubs do deserve to be ridiculed.  Book clubs are there for one reason, and that reason is because they are stupid, yet they want to be smart, and they also want attention.  That is why people join book clubs, and that is why book clubs suck.  Who wants to join a club in which other people tell you what to read?  And who would want to join a club in which other people recite quotes from a book that talks about stupid crap like romance.  Here's an idea for those of you who are in a book club.  GO TO THE BATHROOM, AND WHILE YOU'RE IN THERE, GO FUCK YOURSELF.  And while you are doing that, read a book that talks about stuff other than romance and crap.
FUCK OPRAH, AND FUCK HER BOOK CLUB.  If you would go out, buy a book, and read it all because a fat talk show host told you to, then you have problems.  Here's something you could do.  Why don't you learn to think for yourself an buy a book that actally interests you?
