21. Nov. 2004- End of the Term/Final Exams
Before I start, I would like to mention that all commentary will be posted by Monday morning unless otherwise noted.  I'll probably do them on Sundays.
Well, it's the end of the term, and we all know what that means.  Final exams are in full swing.  Personally, I have four (4) down and one (1) to go.  My problem is the fact that it is almost impossible for a teacher to be able to fit ten (10) weeks of information and notes into an exam.  Granted you will have your teachers who will not hold a cumulative exam, but those who will have to be nuts.  Ten weeks of information translates into one huge exam.  Also, the students do not get enough time to study.  What OU needs to do is to hold exams in a two week period.  That way, students do not get stressed out over having exams in such a short time frame, and have more time to study.
The end of the quarter also means something else for a few people.  Those people happen to be the freshmen.  Now I'm not picking on my floor section here.  In fact, every freshman at every college and university should utilize this information.  Anyway, for freshmen, now is the time to grow up and learn that weeks of partying WILL catch up to you.  All of you freshmen reading this out there should take some time to look back at how they were earlier in the term, and think about how they have changed  over the time.  A few people may have changed for the better. A few may have changed for the worse, and really need this information.  A few have not changed, and apparently need more time to change. That's what the other terms are for I guess. Anyway, every freshman  in every college and university needs to look back at all the beers they drank (or didn't), all the joints they smoked (or didn't), all the friends they made (as well as the enemies), all of the weekends they spent hanging out with friends (or staying in with friends, or alone), all the times they made their RA mad (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!), all of the times you ordered pizza because there was no food in your room, and all of the times you opted to blow off homework to do something you wanted to do (It will catch up with you if it hasn't already.).  Now take a look at your fellow freshmen.  Think about who you are hanging out with.  These are the people who could become lifelong friends, or you could forget about them and never see them again.  Lastly, think about the RAs.  Seriously, we do a lot for you guys.  If we weren't here, you would not know where your classes were, or which resturaunts offer good food for cheap, or the rules (As if you followed them anyway.).  Take a nice look back at what happened this quarter.  We re-elected a President.  The state of Ohio, as well as a few other states, became more homophobic.  We had our bad times, but we had our good times as well.  Take a nice look back at what happened this term, and think about how everything changed.

Alright.  I swear next week's one will be funny.
