The Return is a really unique movie. The story is very straightforward; a father returns home after years of absence and takes his two sons on a trip with him. This seems simplistic, but all the details that come out in the story are what make it so great. The tensions between the father and the sons are amazing. The mystery behind what the father has been doing during his absence was completely enthralling. Oh and the ending...the ending will haunt you for hours afterward.This film just has such a vivid and ponderous atmosphere that it comes off as really refreshing. I haven't seen anything like it for a while...if ever.
Oh yeah...if you don't like reading subtitles, don't watch it because it's in Russian.
