Matrix Revolutions, The (2003)

November 5th, 2003

The Matrix Revolutions was truly a let down for me, and I think that anyone who had any real hopes for this trilogy will feel the same way after viewing it. The original Matrix was a groundbreaking amazing film. The Matrix Reloaded disappointed a few, but it still took the series to the next step by raising more questions and providing even more intense action. The Matrix Revolutions, in contrast, is just a waste of time. The dialogue was terrible (the lovey dovey stuff wasn't even the worst part), the action was not at all thrilling, the questions raised in Reloaded were either avoided or simplisticly answered, the storyline was very predictable, and the ending was ultimately extremely unsatisfying. I'm just so disappointed that after all this time, the Wachowski brothers couldn't come up with something more substantial.

My vote: 4/10
