After reading this article, I think that incorporate video games can have a great effect on children. If children were to play educational games or games that would require them to think, it would help boost their skills in math, reading, and spelling. Teaching can sometimes be a real bore for a child, but if you give them a game, they can spend hours trying to beat it and learn more about their subjects that way. A great example would be Math Blaster. Math Blaster incorporates shooter, puzzle, and platform games that stimulate the player to make it through the level while trying to learn how to solve the mathematical problems at the same time. The same can go for Mario Teaches Typing and Brain Age. Mario Teaches Typing helps children learn to use the keyboard properly with the help of the popular Nintendo character, Mario. Brain Age also helps with doing problems that involving matching or rotating objects as quickly as possible to get the highest score. If you can teach a child to do complicated problems in seconds, then they have truly learned something.
